Advanced icon effect 5

In this advanced effect I used Photoshop 7.0. Includes selective coloring, so it's not translateable.

1 Take your base and crop, resize, sharpen etc., if needed. I'm going to use this:


2 Go to Layers > Duplicate and set the blend mode to Screen, 60%. You might use another opacity, but in this case I used 60%.
Go to Layer > Merge > Flatten Image.


3 Make a new layer (Layers > New > Layer). Fill it with a light pink color, I chose #ffb8ff, but any light pink color will work. Set the layer to Soft Light, 30%.


4 Go to Layer > New adjustement layer > Hue/Saturation. Set the settings like this:
Master 0/+30/0
Reds 0/+20/0
Yellows 0/-30/0



5 Go to Layer > New adjustement layer > Selective color. Set the settings like this:
Reds +50/0/+20/0
Cyans +100/+100/+100/0
Neutrals +70/+10/-30/0



6 Make a new layer. Fill it with a lightblue color (I chose #93ceff) and set the layer to Color Burn, 20.


7 Make a new selective color layer and set the settings like this:
Reds +100/-10/15/-10
Yellows -60/+100/+100/0
Whites +40/0/0/0
Neutrals +100/-10/+10/0


8 And then we're done ( :
